Fenix Foundation aims to help animals in need in the province of Ceara in Brazil. They do this by providing the stray animals with food and care as well as neutering and vaccinating them.
In 2006 Janneke, together with her husband, took the step to emigrate from Utrecht to Brazil where they run their Pousada & Restaurant 0031 in Cumbuco. In addition to running 0031, Janneke has been committed for years to helping animals in need in the province of Ceara. Her love for animals is enormous and Janneke is known for her willingness to do anything to help animals in need. A long-held dream of Janneke was to offer the animals in need more that she is able to do now. Through the creation of the Fenix Foundation, this dream has finally come true for her.
