This includes not only dogs and cats, but also donkeys, goats, chickens, turtles, horses, and other animals that are injured, disabled, elderly, neglected, or abandoned.

Many of these animals have a tragic past. Some are found seriously injured, others have been neglected or abused for years, and some are even literally dumped on Stefan’s doorstep.

At Stefan Animal Rescue, they no longer have to struggle to survive. They receive medical care, good nutrition, rest, space, and, above all, the time to regain their trust. For many animals, the shelter becomes their permanent home—a place where they are safe, surrounded by other animals like themselves, and free to simply be animals.

Recovery can sometimes take months.
