Tails of Compassion (ToC) was founded on 18 August 2017 with a purpose to provide a compassionate home to senior and special-needs dogs and other animals. Currently, ToC is home to over 40 dogs, 3 goats and some chicken.
Our colleague Marjolein recently visited Tails of Compassion Trust in India, Delhi. This is her report:
“Recently I went to Delhi at the Tails of Compassion Trust of Divya Parthasarathy. It is a small-scale shelter at about an hour and a 15-minute drive from the KLM hotel. Divya takes care of 30 stray dogs and also a few goats. There are many old, crippled and half paralyzed dogs. She has two employees who stay there day and night taking care of the animals. Divya has a job through the week and in the weekend she can be found with the animals at the shelter. Divya funds everything with her own money and therefore could use some help.”
During the winter it can be cold so Marjolein took jackets for the dogs with her. Of course some snacks to make the dogs even more happy… During summer time they need supplies like anti parasites.
In the meantime Marjolein has made an appointment with the concierge of the hotel the KLM crew stays; we may leave things there for Divya’s shelter. So if you have supplies and goods they can use, please let us know: info@wingsforanimals.org.
Of course, a financial contribution for this shelter is more than welcome:
