Through a passenger on board with us, we became familiar with Animals Rescue Shanghai.
This foundation, just outside Shanghai, is dedicated to helping dumped animals. Many animals are bought indiscriminately in pet stores. Many people have no idea of the amount of care needed is for their purchased animal and often they are dumped somewhere so they can get rid of the “problem”. Shanghai Animals Rescue catches these animals, offers them medical attention, cares for them and eventually finds them a new home. Many colleagues visited SAR with, of course, the necessary supplies.
Wings for Animals also reached out to shepherd dog Zhuang Zhuang (meaning “strong”). This shepherd was found emaciated and more dead than alive in August 2018. After SAR’s proper care, this sweetheart became a beautiful healthy dog again and has since been adopted. Check out his transformation into a beautiful healthy dog here.
