Tails of Compassion (ToC) was founded on Aug. 18, 2017 with the goal of providing a good home for senior and special needs dogs and other animals. Currently, ToC is home to more than 40 dogs, 3 goats and a few chickens.
Our colleague Marjolein visited Tails of Compassion Trust in India, Delhi. This is her report:
“Recently I visited the Tails of Compassion Trust of Divya Parthasarathy in Delhi. It is a small shelter about an hour and 15 minutes drive from the KLM hotel. Divya takes in about 30 dogs and a few goats. There are many old dogs among them, crippled and also half-crippled. She has two boys who stay there day and night and take care of the dogs. Divya works during the week and on weekends she can be found with the little dogs. Divya pays for everything mostly out of her own pocket and could of course use some help.
Because it can be cold in the winter, Marjolein brought jackets for the disabled dogs. Of course also some snacks to make the dogs even happier … During the summer months, they especially need resources such as anti-parasites.
In the meantime, Marjolein made an agreement with the concierge of the hotel where the KLM crew is staying; we can leave the necessary stuff there. So if you have any usable items, please let us know: info@wingsforanimals.org.
