A safe place for animals that have nowhere else to go
Stefan Animal Rescue Curaçao is dedicated to helping the most vulnerable animals on the island. This includes not only dogs and cats, but also donkeys, goats, chickens, turtles, horses, and other animals that are injured, disabled, elderly, neglected, or abandoned.
Many of these animals have a tragic past. Some are found seriously injured, others have been neglected or abused for years, and some are even literally dumped on Stefan’s doorstep.
At Stefan Animal Rescue, they no longer have to struggle to survive. They receive medical care, good nutrition, rest, space, and, above all, the time to regain their trust. For many animals, the shelter becomes their permanent home—a place where they are safe, surrounded by other animals like themselves, and free to simply be animals.
Recovery can sometimes take months. But it is precisely those moments—when a fearful dog dares to seek contact again, an injured animal gets back on its feet, or an elderly animal finally lies relaxed in the sun—that make it clear why this shelter is so important.
Wings for Animals helpt 🐾✈️
Wings for Animals supports Stefan Animal Rescue financially and with materials . Thanks to our partnership with Stichting DierenLot, we are able to have pallets containing food and other necessary animal supplies transported to Curaçao by sea freight every quarter.
This is how we help Stefan give all these special animals the care and safe home they deserve.
