A woman with a big heart for cats
In the heart of Bangkok’s historic Talat Noi district, within walking distance of the KLM crew hotel, a remarkable woman has been dedicated to helping the stray cats in her neighborhood for years. On her own, now in her seventies, she cares for cats every day—cats that have been abandoned by others, are sick, or simply have no one to look after them.
What once began as simply feeding a few cats has grown into a safe haven for animals that would otherwise have little chance of survival.
Daily Care
Every day, she provides food, clean drinking water, and medical care when needed. Sick or injured cats are treated, and whenever possible, she has cats spayed or neutered to reduce the stray cat population in a humane way.
Everything is funded with her own resources, supplemented by donations from people who support her work.
A familiar spot for KLM crews
Many KLM colleagues have come to know her by now. If you walk from the crew hotel toward Talat Noi, you’ll find her on the left side of the main street. Crew members regularly stop by to bring her food, medicine, or a financial contribution to support her work.
It is precisely that kind of commitment that shows how a small gesture can make a big difference.
A new project by Wings for Animals
Through our colleagues at KLM, we came into contact with this extraordinary cat angel. Her boundless dedication, entirely selfless, aligns perfectly with the mission of Wings for Animals.
We are therefore proud that Talat Noi Cat Care has become part of our projects. Together, we hope to support her so that she can continue to provide a safe haven for Bangkok’s stray cats in the future.
